The Challenge

Sumba is one of the world’s most breathtaking "hidden gems," but selling a high-end remote villa requires building immense trust and desire online. The challenge was to create a digital gateway that felt as serene as the physical villa, moving away from "transactional" booking sites toward an immersive, visual storytelling platform.

The Strategy

We adopted a "Digital Sanctuary" approach, prioritizing high-impact visuals and a minimalist UI that doesn't distract from the destination.

  • Immersive Web Design (sumba-beach.com): Developed a "breathable" layout using expansive white space and cinematic imagery to reflect the resort’s open-air architecture.

  • The "Guest Journey" UX: Simplified the path from "Discovery" to "Booking." We integrated a seamless reservation flow that maintains the premium feel of the brand without the clunky interface of standard booking engines.

  • Visual Content Strategy: Curated a gallery experience that highlights the unique Sumba landscape—merging the rugged coastline with the refined elegance of Anna Villa.

The Impact

  • Emotional Connectivity: The site successfully translates the "Sumba feeling" into a digital format, resulting in longer on-site dwell times.

  • Direct Booking Growth: By optimizing the user flow, we reduced reliance on third-party travel agencies, increasing direct inquiries by [40]%.

  • Global Reach: Positioned Anna Villa as a top-tier destination for international luxury travelers seeking an authentic, high-end Indonesian experience.

Design Philosophy: "Nature-First UI." We chose a palette of sand, sea-foam, and driftwood tones to ensure the website felt like an extension of the beach itself. Every scroll is designed to lower the user's heart rate.
